About Nate Otto




Nate's work is inspired and influenced by art brut, abstract expressionism, graphic design, comic art, geometric abstraction, and the onslaught of imagery of that pours down on him from his perch in Chicago Illinois. Primarily known for his dense and illustrative cityscapes on panels, Nate also has a even developing multiple painting styles of his own for years.  Nate had a career in teaching people with disabilities until the pull of art became too great and he became a full time artist and illustrator three years ago.  In the last year Nate has had solo shows at Vertical Gallery and Adventureland Gallery in Chicago and has done work with Basecamp, Soho House, Pivotal Labs and other really impressive people. He has also participated in group shows in New York, Los Angeles, Madrid, and elsewhere. He is renowned throughout the land for his love of pizza and his disdain for dibs.
